"At CrossPointe, Pointe Groups are not one ministry we do, Pointe Groups are who we are."

Pointe Groups are where both followers of Christ and those who are just curious about Christ can come together and explore the Bible, support one another and just have fun doing life together.  Pointe Groups are the foundation to our ministry here at CrossPointe as they are the primary context for spiritual growth, community and pastoral care.

Pointe Groups are a place where you can come as you are.  No "perfect," "got it all together" people allowed here.  No expectations either, we want to hang out with the real, raw and authentic you.

Our motto:

"Come over.  Eat food.  Discuss God.  Have fun.  Go home!"

Pointe Groups exist for 3 main purposes:

1.  Bible Study

The Bible is the foundation for all our study in Pointe Groups. We believe there is no need to make the Bible relevant because it is just as relevant to our lives today as it has ever been. Each week we study the scriptures in our groups not simply to learn more about them but so that we would each be transformed as we encourage one another to apply and live out what we have learned.

2.  Community

A basic principle of physics is that all motion tends towards rest and this is certainly true of our spiritual lives.  This is why scripture encourages us to "consider how to stir up one another" as we gather together in community (Heb 10:24, ESV).  Real and authentic community is hard to find in our society today. We often come home from work, close the garage door and hide ourselves from the world outside.  Our groups strive to create an atmosphere of transparency, support and encouragement that many of us lack today.  To that end our groups are much more than just a Bible study.  Each week our groups spend a significant amount of time just hanging out, having fun and deepening relationships.

3.  Multiplication: Communities and Leaders

The long term vision of CrossPointe is to create a network of churches of that work together to bring glory to God.  Our Pointe Groups also pursue this same vision. This approach is twofold:  First, we desire to be individuals living lives focused on leading others to Christ and then helping them mature as His followers. Second, each group is also focused on raising up future leaders who will one day head out to start a new groups throughout our community.
